I think you guys might have missed the highway from Fier to Vlora, because from Tirana to Vlora is an unstoppable highway. The last bit was opened on June.( unless you travelled before that).
This video felt so short, wish it was longer!!!! You guys are amazing, love your vibe!!! I spent one summer in that island, you should have explored the forest there, on the opposite side of the island you would find the ruins of the old church. It had such enchanting and mysterious aura.
You guys are very real, very good description (the roads are for one and a half cars) please don’t forget northern part of Albania, beautiful seaside (sometimes overcrowded) ,ancient ruins and the amazing Albanian alps
Thanks for the visit to Albania. And I’m very happy to watch your videos and it’s seems you guys having a good time. Wish you guys a lovely time and big welcome
@@JamesLeithart Not all of course, but a big part of them have very old-fashioned mentalities. Do you even know the Albanian language? If not, you can't know them. They may look nice when they speak English because they are happy to meet foreigners, which has not happened a lot during their history (communism), but if you knew how racist, homophobic and vulgar they really are, you would change your mind, I promise you.
Wawruto what are u talking about ? Im albanian myself and im every year in Albania and the biggest thing for every Albanian is hospitality and honor. We always try to be as hospital as we can and help everyone
Ahh brilliant! We were in Albania a couple of months ago too! We drove from Tirana (chaotic) all the way down to Sarande but stopped over in Vlore for a day! The route is so scenic! 😍
In fact, to go from Berat to Vlora the road is relatively good and new and almost all of the road is a highway with a speed limit to 90km/h (for albanians 130km/h lol). It seems starting from Fier to Vlora you have chosen the wrong (old) road unfortunately, maybe because of google maps which doesn't work pretty well in some roads in Albania.
For Albanians 130km/h 😂😂😂 Yes I know this first hand because we drove from Tirana to Sarande and I wasn't use to the mountain roads but then you'd have Albanians speeding past! 😂
Be very careful though because even though its a highway, you’ll be sharing the road with lots of... objects including people. If you see a fancy car coming fast, just give them the right of way. Its not worth the hassle. Its probably a entitled rich “person” or their entitled kid. The normal population cannot afford fancy cars. Hence why in the gorgeous beaches you see expensive cars. Regular people cannot afford to go there. Most of the people there are rich politicians and their families, rich people, however they may have gotten rich, celebs, tourists, and Albanian immigrants that have $$ to spend.
Go to Ksamil for a couple of days. Its a nice family beach but avoid August. Its PACKED. Go early September early July. August is so packed hard to get quality service and the beaches are what you imagine a beach in India to look like. Swarming. Plus August is super hot there.
I went in Dhermi this year for vocations and... man that was one of the most perfect place i have ever go to relax ! I went in " Havana " beach and the place was so peaceful it gave me some India vibes , with dream catchers and pinterest quotes on the coffee bar , Buda and other india stuff on the restaurant and meditation and calming music 160Hz 😍😍 man I didn't felt like i was in Albania at all that was another thing . Sometimes i get so surprised with what I see here in my country
Himare is where I got engaged two years ago 😍 and now we have a beautiful baby boy. Albania was a great hidden secret but not anymore. But glad more ppl are discovering how beautiful it is. Idk what they mean by forget what you heard because I didn’t know anything about Albania when I met my husband (Albanian). I remember the spontaneous road trips, mountains on the way to Kosovo and much more. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing video, thanks for sharing 😀 and about the narrow roads we do have them in Czech and Slovakia and even I am used to it sometimes it is still stressful especially if you meet bus on the road 😂

Did you the Logarat pass with the unique flag pine trees, the smell of oregano and the iron herb called mountains tea? I lived in Albania 5 years and I loved every moment...I’m in Portugal now but it’s a complete different story, I miss Albanian hospitality every single moment 💕
I keep saying it in my comments, but the scenery in Albania is just so beautiful. I really like the look of Himare and the sea front. Absolutely with you in terms of sea food - we had some amazing sea food dishes on the Costa del Sol in Spain a few weeks back. Highlight of this vlog? The amazing crab impersonation at 5:49 LOL!!
You can take boat trips in Saranda that go in undiscovered beaches where the water is crystal blue and also visit the tallest mountains such as Korab or Tomorr. The northern part is all about mountain and relieves and the southern is about the beaches and great hotels and resorts❤️👍
